Famed actress signs on for new flick

Iranian actress Leila Hatami has joined the new project by Kamal Tabrizi titled 'We are All Together'.

New offering of renowned Iran director Tabrizi is being set in a real-life aircraft.

Produced by Reza Mirkarimi, the film is a comedy narrative of a crashed plane where the surviving passenger cannot hide some secrets forever.

The movie has a string of stars such as Mohammad-Reza Golzar, Vishka Asayesh and Pejman Jamshidi and Mehran Modiri.

Director, screenwriter, editor and cinematographer Kamal Tabrizi earned a degree in Cinema from Tehran University, College of Fine Arts.

He began his cinematic activities with filming a flick made by Saeed Haji Miri in 1983.

He is a director who has taken on issues dealing with the eight-year Iraqi-imposed war on Iran and its aftermath from different angles.

Born in 1972, Hatami is the daughter of renowned Iranian director Ali Hatami and has appeared in a number of her father’s films, even as a child actress, including ‘Hezar Dastan’, ‘Kamal-ol-Molk’ and ‘The Devoted’ from 1984 to 1992.

She went to Switzerland and embarked on her studies in electrical engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne. Just two years later, she shifted her field of study to French Literature. Hatami returned to Iran in 1996 when her father became ill.

Her first appearance in a leading role was in the film ‘Leila’ in 1997.

Hatami has starred in numerous movies and won many prestigious awards throughout her successful career.
